Karate School

Destined for young practitioners, from 5 to 18 years, this activity started in 2005, under the supervision of Professor Filipe Simões (Black Belt 2nd. Dan), a local resident of Abiul.

These students can enjoy the real benefits of this activity, such as focus concentration, fostering self-discipline and self-confidence, dealing with bullies, and increases self-esteem, turning this martial arts training one of the most practiced in worldwide.

Classes take place in the Associação Cultural da Casa do Povo de Abiul, twice a week.

Dance School

The Creative Dance classes is another cultural activity supported by the Foundation, and it´s adressed for children from 6 to 15 years old; the lessons are taught by Professor Patricia Antunes de Sousa.

Classes take place in the Associação Cultural da Casa do Povo de Abiul, weekly.

The school offers professional performance opportunities for children and, in so doing, provides powerful and playful dance performances accessible to people of all ages. Through the instinctive movement of children and relying on psychomotor acquisitions of each age group, respecting the individuality and imagination, these classes offer the possibility to learn, train and develop skills such as musicality, coordination, relationship to space and relationship with peers.
